This weekend I had the great oppourtunity to spend time with a group of Roller Derby Girls from both the Sydney and Newcastle Leagues. The Sydney Team organised a cruise on the harbour, and it was awesome.

The event was sea themed so there were pirates and wenches, sailors and nurses, a Lobster, and even a Ninja Turtle. A few DJ's played some classic hits, and mainly focused on the 80's which was nostalgic for me As much as I don't generally like 80's music, I was suprised to hear so many great songs

The Derby Girls and their "widows" (as they call male groupies) are all really cool people. I even got to do some swing dancing with a few of the girls.

I look forward to other derby socials, and so should you. get along and support this great womens sport.

After a long downtime, the site is now up and running on version 4.0 beta. The member search feature has been improved, so you should now be able to find people much easier. There will be more updates to this as time goes on.

The navigation and theme has been simplified and should stay like this until launch. We have scaled back our member profiles for the now, until we work out the issues in the previous version. We hope to get a more customisable profile soon.

We have added a "chatbox" so you can leave little messages when visiting the site

There are still many improvements to be made, but it's coming along nicely. If you have any issues, please let me know
